Basis Data Solutions, Inc. (“Basis”) powers business financial services, offering a simpler process for financial service providers (“customers”) to gather and analyze information from businesses and their representatives (“users”) to help provide users with various financial products.
This Privacy Policy describes how we handle the personal information we collect from website visitors, customers, and users in connection with our website, API, and our related services.

Information you provide
We may collect the following data from you when you visit our website or use our products or services:
- Business contact details, including your first and last name and email address.
- Company information, such as your company’s name and location.
- Communications that we exchange with you, including when you contact us with questions, feedback, or otherwise.
- Marketing information, such as your preferences for receiving communications about our services and publications, and details about how you engage with our communications.
We may also collect the following data from you when you connect your business’s financial accounts to our API:
- Login information where required by the provider of your financial accounts, such as your username and password or a security token.
- Identity verification information where required to connect your financial accounts, such as a one-time password (OTP).
- Account administrator contact information that you provide if you require an administrator’s assistance to connect your financial account. Basis will use this information to contact the administrator to complete the account connection.
Information we obtain from other sources
- Our customers. We may obtain contact information about our users from our customers when they provide us with users’ personal information to initialize the user interface.
- Social media information. We may maintain pages on social media platforms. When you visit or interact with our pages on those platforms, you or the platforms may provide us with information through the platform.
- Other sources. We may obtain your personal information from other third parties, such as financial partners, data providers, and publicly-available sources.
Information we collect automatically
We and our service providers may automatically log information about you, your computer or mobile device, and your interaction over time with our services, such as:
- Device data, such as your computer’s or mobile device’s operating system, manufacturer and model, browser type, IP address, unique identifiers, language settings, mobile device carrier, and general location information such as city, state or geographic area; and

Our customers. We may disclose users’ personal information to the customer making a lending decision or providing another service to that user.
Financial Institutions. We may disclose users’ names to third-party financial institutions for those financial institutions’ own business purposes, for example, to market other financial products and services to users’ businesses and for fraud prevention purposes.
Service providers.
